White Rock Rowing Junior Summer Camps
White Rock Rowing offers weeklong rowing camps for students entering 6th - 12th grade. Our experienced coaching staff, including two World Championship medalists and seasoned athlete volunteers, create a fun and positive environment for learning about this great team sport. Our camps are excellent preparation for rowers who may wish to join our squads in the fall.
No experience is necessary to participate in the camps. Students will learn the sport through hands-on experience, boat handling, and teamwork all while having fun and enjoying the outdoors. Camps run Monday - Friday 8 am to 12 pm and will conclude with a demonstration of acquired skills on the last day by participating in a fun short race. Camp fee is $250.
All camps include at least one rowing session at 8 am with another, shorter, session later that morning (weather permitting). Otherwise, camp instructors will give talks on racing strategy, training philosophies, proper nutrition and show instructional video on rowing. Any athlete wishing to sign up for more than one camp is encouraged to do so. All campers will receive breakfast from Monday to Friday and a White Rock T-shirt and water bottle.
Sign-up here at Regatta Central under White Rock Rowing Camps and Clinics. Camps start June 4th and run through August, 17th, Monday – Friday, 8 am to 12 p.m. Rain or shine! When the weather turns inclement, instruction continues in the Boathouse.
