HIGH SCHOOL RACING TEAM

GRADES 9 - 12

The high school racing team is a school year program for grades 9 – 12.  The season mimics the school year starting in late August and running through the middle of May.  Depending on the finishes at certain regattas in the spring, some rowers may continue training for the National championships which take place in June.  
 

                 NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

 

THE HIGH SCHOOL RACING TEAM

  • Novice Men + Women – this includes any first year high School athlete
     

  • Varsity Men – any returning athlete that has completed their Novice season
     

  • Varsity Women – any returning athlete that has completed their Novice season

 

 

DUES STRUCTURE

Fall High School Racing Team  $1,250.00

Dues include travel / hotel / food to all local regattas in Texas and Oklahoma.  Team travel to regattas outside of these areas are not included in the dues.

 

 

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

 

August 2019 – December 2019

Novice: Mondays – Fridays 4:45 pm - 6:45 pm and

               Saturdays  7:00 am – 9:00 am

Varsity: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays

               5:20 am - 7:05 am,

               Tuesdays  4:45 pm – 6:45 pm and

               Saturdays  7:00 am – 9:00 am

FALL 2019 & SPRING 2020 EVENT SCHEDULE

  • October 12 - White Rock Lake Invitational

  • October 26 - Pumkinhead Regatta in Austin, Texas

  • November 16 - The Battle for Dallas at White Rock Lake

  • February 1 - SWEAT Indoor Regatta at Dallas Jesuit

  • April 18 - 19 - State Championships (Novice Only)

  • April 24 - 26 - Dogwood Championships in Oak ridge Tennessee

  • May 2 - US Rowing Central Youth Championships in Oklahoma City, OK.

  • June 11 - 15  US Rowing National Championships (qualifying crews only)
