Men’s Varsity 4- is top finishing Texas and Central Region sweep boat at Youth Nationals
Congratulations to White Rock Rowing men’s varsity straight four! They swept the competition at USRowing Youth National Championships, bringing home the bronze and serious bragging rights as the top sweep boat from Texas and the entire central region.
With 28 rowers, representing 14 high schools across the Dallas metroplex, White Rock competed in all four racing groups - varsity and novice boys and girls - a nod to the strength and well-roundedness of the program. “We’re so proud of how the team showed up at Youth Nationals this year,” said Caitlynn Crouch, White Rock Rowing Men’s Varsity Coach. “It was an awesome way to cap off a season full of hard work and growth across the whole team.”
Of the thousands of competing high school teams and clubs around the country, only 230 qualified to compete in Youth Nationals. White Rock launched five competitive boats with all boats placing in the top ten in their respective finals.
Congratulations to all the rowers, coaches and parents who helped White Rock Rowing cap off another stellar season!
